I'll have the hoof and mouth with side of e.coli, please

We went to the nicest, cleanest petting zoo EVER this past Saturday. The kids had a blast. It's a privately-owned farm that's open to the public. I was impressed; unlike most petting zoos that only distribute those foul-smelling food pellets from the gumball machine, we purchased baskets of fresh vegetables. Even the outhouses were the cleanest I've ever been in. Kate said, "This is a fun bathroom." I wouldn't exactly say that... We did use hand sanitizer--lots and lots of hand sanitizer.

After the goat-poop-on-Phillip's-shorts incident at the San Antonio zoo, we opted to feed the goats through the fence.

The carrots were just long enough that George's fingers didn't get nibbled. I don't want him to be afraid of goats. Kate is just now getting over her fear of birds after the peacock tried to steal her PB&J in Austin two years ago.

I felt like were back in Texas. The sun was hot that day; the car said 79 degrees, but I think it felt at least 85.

Oh, 85, I don't feel sympathetic. It's been 108 (temp guage in the car reading 118--no exxageration) I can see why Phillip (knowing him) would have trouble with Goat poo on his shorts! But, if it happened again, he could just go into the 'fun' outhouse and sanitize! :)

Next time you guys are here, I'd love to take you out to my friends' farm. Jack just loves it and would be so tickled if his cousins got to go! He'd be happy to show you around.
