Good Changes

It's amazing how your life changes when you have kids. Since Hannah started kindergarten, we have followed that same routine on school nights: homework, dinner, a little playtime, bath, bed. Always the same. Never changes. I can't remember the last time we went somewhere after supper. There is simply not enough time to get anything else done before the kids need to be in bed. How strange it will be as our kids get older and we start loosening up on the schedule. When we got married, I went to bed at 9:30pm since that had been my bedtime just 2 months prior in high school!
All that to say...tonight is an exception to the schedule. Hannah's second grade program, "It's a Jungle Out There," is at 6pm. She had a dress rehearsal/performance for the school yesterday. On our way home, she said, "Momma, I was so stage-fright, but I didn't pee on the floor or anything."

Glad she didn't pee. It makes me feel good to know that I'm not the only one who keeps such a rigid schedule. Sometimes I just feel like the "schedule nazi" but I know it's the best thing for Chase.
